OOOOOHHH...Go Fly A Kite!

What a beautiful weekend!!! We really did take advantage of the nice weather. I have really been an AWFUL picture taker lately! I take my camera everywhere and never pull it out to snap a shot. Or if I do, it ends up just sitting on the table and not being used! But,
Thursday night Jessica and I went to Rod's remote...it was fun and I FINALLY got crawfish! First of the season!! We just hung out with everyone, laughed and had a great time!

Jessica's car broke down on a recent trip to Dallas, so she has been driving around in Rod's manly Jeep. LUCKILY, the weather was amazing, so we took the Jeep and met Katie & Marry Ann for All You Can Eat Crawfish at Bronx Bar on Washington. The Crawfish was sooooo good...I want more now! It was such a nice day to sit on the patio and chat and get dirty! Once again, worst picture taker ever! I only snapped one shot! UGH

Sunday I made Austin run a bunch of errands with me. He was no happy about it, he'd much rather be home than shopping with mom! But at Sam's we ran across this kite. So I promised him that we would go fly a kite. It was such a beautiful day, so we took fishing poles and the kite and spent the afternoon at the park. No fish were caught, but I got in some exercise and quality time with my kiddo!

Last Rodeo Round-Up

Morgan and I braved the elements on Saturday and headed to the Rodeo with every intention of seeing the last Brooks & Dunn concert. But it was 40 degrees and raining. We made our way thru the Agventure and then did a little shopping, but it was not fun at all! Everyone that would normally be outside enjoying the carnival or eating something-on-a-stick, were in Reliant Center. We spent 90% of our time being stuck behind people that would, out of no where and with no warning at all, just stop in the middle of the isle. So once we had had enough of that, we decided that we would go see about getting Morgan something deep fried or on-a-stick! That was a BIG MISTAKE! There were more people out there under the tents than were inside Reliant Center! I looked at Morgan and said, "Do you want to eat here and stand around or leave and go to a restaurant?" She choose the restaurant. So we walked, in the cold rain, to our car and headed to The Grotto! I'm glad that we got to spend some time together, but I just wish the weather had cooperated with us!

Sunday, Austin got home from Missouri. He was a little sad to leave his dad and the 8" of snow that had just fallen, but he was glad to be home none the less. He had a great time. He did some fishing, some shopping at the “Best 99 cent store ever”, and got to feel his little sister moving around in his step-mom’s tummy! He said he took some pictures…but I’ll have to get them from him and we will see if there are any worth posting.

Red & Rowdy

I forgot that I had these pictures! This was Austin's first Rocket's game. We had a great time that evening. He got REALLY into the game and was screaming at the players and yelling D-FENCE!! He even asked me if we could get season tickets!

That's why they call me Slim Shady...I'm Back, I'm Back

We have had many thing going on lately...and I was too busy to update. Well, maybe not too busy, but definitely too lazy! Right now it is Spring Break and Austin is in Missouri visiting his dad. He is having a great time and I have no pictures of it up there yet! I hope he is taking some!
I went to the Black Eyed Peas concert last night and had a great time. I was in the Chute Club and the Committeeman's Club, so there are also no pictures of that. The Good Ole' Boy Network up there at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo doesn't look kindly on photographic evidence of whatever happens there! But we did have a GREAT time! I snuck one picture during Where Is The Love...

And then I was promtly yelled at! I said, "Hey, where is the love?! " HAHAHAHAHA
